About Us

As a pioneer of student music competitions, we begin our thirty-ninth year as one of the nation's finest and most respected festival and travel programs. Our full time directors, backed by regional festival directors, work with more than five hundred schools a year to provide the opportunity to travel, to meet other students, and to be adjudicated by some of the finest educators. We also produce and select students to our prestigious Macy's Great American Marching Band that performs annually in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.

We hope you will be able to join us for this program, American Ambassadors Marching Band. We have had many high school and college bands perform in the Rome New Year's Day Processional March Parade and now we would like to put together an All-Star Band with students from all across the country. Directors will need to recommend you to be accepted to the band and a short video of you playing. Guard members will be accepted into the marching band but will use poms instead of flags due to the close proximity to the audience for both parades when the band arrives in the squares.
